LaVor has worked in the field of education for over 16 years. His experience includes working with troubled youth for personal, moral, and cognitive growth; academic diversity instructor; special education instructor for K-12; and Education Guidance Counselor and Services Specialists on an Army Base assisting active duty members and their family members to reach their educational and thus future goals. 

LaVor has found that in teaching, a bond develops and people tend to share their story. In these stories, a vulnerability of wins and losses come through and the vision of how real people hurt, as real as their passion to succeed, translates in their story. 

Take20ForLife, Inc. is an important project for me, not only as a veteran, knowing that every the most recent data shows that 22-24 veterans commit suicide each day. But also as an educator knowing how much it takes mentally, emotionally, and physically to make those dreams come to fruition and how taxing that can be.
