Depression

Bipolar Disorder

Manic-depressive disease, or bipolar disorder, is a brain ailment that results in significant swings in mood, energy, level of activity, and capacity to do daily chores.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

When a person goes through a traumatic experience that involves physical harm or the possibility of physical damage, post-traumatic stress disorder can result.

Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a serious, chronic brain condition that has afflicted people all through human history. Schizophrenia alters a person's thinking, behavior, perception of reality, expression of emotions, and interpersonal relationships.

Borderline Personality Disorder

A severe mental condition known as borderline personality disorder (BPD) is characterized by fluctuating moods, conduct, and relationships. BPD was originally recognized as a diagnosable condition in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, Third Edition (DSM-III), published in 1980.

Mental Illness and Substance Abuse

The term "dual disorder" describes a condition in which a person has both an alcohol or drug addiction and a mental illness. Sometimes the psychological issue shows up first. People may use alcohol or other substances to momentarily improve their mood as a result of this. Sometimes, drug abuse comes on first. That may eventually result in emotional and mental issues.
